This pump was from a 1 hp 22gallon horizontal unit that sat on wheels. A slip of paper inside the now replaced leaky pressure switch had smc brand on it and manufacture date of 1965. The now replaced tank had a local retailer label slapped on the side. As the photos hopefully show, the flywheel has 3 fan blades with 1171 opposite an arrow to identify direction of rotation. There is a flat space on the side of the pump where it appears a label possibly once was but is no longer. Underneath the cast felt type filter cover plate is a 1203 and E2. On the lower corner of the crank case it says "oil level" in vertical letters and this is on the same side of the case that the oil dipstick is located. Opposite the side of the dipstick is the pump output and below the output just above where the crank case meets the piston encasing portion of the pump is ":4392:" or ":1392:" I'm trying to replace the gaskets and to do so trying to identify the manufacturer of the pump to find more information as well as parts. I believe this is a dual inline single stage pump as opposed to 2 stage but that is just my guess based on other pumps i see when searching online. I believe the old tank had sticker with output cfm listed around 9 @90psi and psi max listed as 175. This is my first time doing this if that isn't completely obvious already. Thank you very much to any info you can share regarding this air compressor pump
found: This is E.L. Smith (P.K. Linsdey subsid) was bought out by American Eagle as Model 84 (not model 84A) Very few parts can be found. However, many parts are replaceable with the 143 model (half of the V480) The disc valves are no where to be found! The newer version 84A on up has a 2 or 3 reed valve system and plates. Most were rated at max 165psi normal run 95-120. They are bullet proof! Good luck on what ever you decided to do... I have 2 of them myself. https://www.practicalmachinist.com/...l-smith-portable-20-gallon-compressor-277610/
