www.speedhut.com Get new gauges that will work. Most of the old clusters are going to have mechanical temp gauges with real short leads.

  2. There are a lot of nice ones that have been posted already, and hopefully guys will post more. Just my FWIW comment here though... Depending on the car its going in and the build era you're shooting for, I would think a vintage cluster, updated/rebuilt would be better than a new 'nostalgia' cluster from vendors like Cl***ic, etc. For some reason, their graphics miss the mark. They just look too modern, to my eye. Besides, they are $$$. JMHO

Tucker used a large round speedometer with all the gauges. I remember reading that they were made by Stewart Warner, who then continued to make them for a company that made fire trucks.

I would be cautious using one of these aftermarket Jeep clusters. I had a 4x4 shop that I made up a speedometer ratio adapter for calibration of a Jeep they were working on. They claimed that my adapter wasn’t built correctly and the speedometer was still inaccurate. They were using one of these aftermarket speedometers. They had four new speedometers in stock and had tried all four of them in the Jeep and none were accurate. So they concluded my adapter was to blame. I changed the ratio three times at no charge before telling the owner to personally bring in all four speedometers to my shop so I could test them in front of him on the test bench.
He was plenty mad and said I cost him countless labor hours because of my mistakes.
He brought in all four speedometers and all of them were incorrect out of the box, two of them were off by both speed and miles traveled on the odometer. He apologized and left, I was the one left holding the bag for lost time and parts for three ratio adapters because of the ****py Chinese speedometers.
    My two cents.
