Technical Recommendation on sourcing a 440 short block

Good morning - I am looking for suggestions on finding a shop in SoCal that can build up a moderately warned up Dodge 440 short block for me. Anyone with personal experience with a shop they can p*** along?

Try 440 source.com I am sure they can help you out. I have built a few mopars using a lot of their stuff.

It looks like there are spe******ts in MI and SC, and I am OK paying for shipping and engine to SoCal if it gets me the right/best short block.

You have many shops to chose from. I would say, why don't you go to the next El Mirage meet and ask around. Almost all the cars there are from SoCal and have had lots of work done to them. A 440 isn't all that rare or different compared to a BBC of BBF or most any other engine.
