Technical Recommendations for A dwell meter

I have the same one, I bought it in mid 70s

 

80 or 81 from JC Penny catalog.

 

That looks like it belongs in the house with my 1970's pioneer sx-950 stereo system !!

Still have not went out to pull mine down. Here’s a pic off the net of the kit I told my Dad he needed. He knew better that I wanted it over him. Cost like $79 if I recall correctly.

 

You're welcome to this one if you strike out elsewhere. Untested by me, but appears to have done the job many times, judging by the grease stains.

 

@51504bat 60s up Fords change dwell with a mild breeze! The vacuum advance pivot point is enough off that you can watch the change when you rev the engine with and without the vacuum connected. I think it's the reason they ask for a couple more degrees of dwell at idle, because they always decrease at higher RPM, the opposite of what you want.

 

I've got one showing up soon from eBay. I'll let you know how it works.
