Projects Recreating the jesse lopez coupe

As with everything on this build it was critical to make sure we were looking at the original car as much as possible. This was impossible without Jesse, and I am forever grateful that I had the privilege to be able to do this life goal before Jesse p***ed.
So, in this case we can't look at what can't be seen, but I wouldn't dare try to cheat this build by ignoring what Jesse told me about the exhaust system.
So, the first look shows what the components where for this legendary car. This stuff was all available then and still is today.

As you can see there was some confusion regarding the left side going up and over or going down and back. The "muffler guy" showed me this thinking they had to go this way. I had to tell him that the setup is in the "lakester" style which means that side has to go down and back.

 

This is the one and only pic that I was exposed to when I was a kid, of Jesse's car. The cool Chicano guys that were around it boosted its cool appeal to me. If someone would have told me about my involvement in its history of this car I wouldn't have believed them.

Doing these cars was a total mind-blowing experience. It was a privilege to be able to do THIS.
