Hello, A red hot rod stands out from all of the other colors of hot rod builds. It just gets sighted from far away and as one walks toward the red hot rod, it gets better on the approach. My wife and I were at a local car show prior to the pandemic lock down. It had all sorts of hot rods in various stages of completion and very nicely finished cars. Or if any hot rod can be finished… But this 33-34 sedan stood out from the end of the block as the one that attracted me to the area, by passing several other cool looking hot rods. As I approached, the hot rod was not only red, but the flames on the hood, fenders and door were done quite nicely. Contrasting colors of yellow and with a hint of blue pinstriping for the “blue flame” tips made it as real as possible without overpowering the nice red color of the sedan. From the front, it is saying… “Here I come…” Jnaki The yellow flames with the fine blue pinstriping outlines were pretty nice, but did not over power the cool sedan.
This is Ford's "Candy Apple" Red, used on lots of different Ford models from 1966-1970....not a lick of "candy" in it. Non-metallic, great single-stage or base clear still available.
