Red Lens for '30 - '31 Cowl Lights

I was thinking about using 30 - 31 cowl lights for rear tail lights on a '29 truck. Is there a red lens that would fit. I also think I remember seeing a red spray paint that could be used to paint the clear glass... was I dreamin? Sounds like a JC Whitney item. Any ideas?

 

We used to paint the bulbs in white turn signals and parking lamps with amer paint, so why not the bulbs red for tail light?
Might have to redo from time to time.

try your local craft store. They should have translucent spray paint may even call it candy apple red(like for fake stained glass projects) Just spray the clear lenses red on the backside.
