That little truck is amazing!! You are right his name is Rick Kersch, he is a huge guy that squeezes into that thing! I have seen that car for years around here, and still see it, at all the local shows. You can probably look on SoCalCultures website and see some pic's of it.

When you look at the pictures of it in the link, you can see how he actually fits in it.

Its kicked up in the front following the contours of the toe board, so no room is actually lost inside the cab. The cab sits on the chassis, the front kickup eliminates the splash aprons, thereby ensuring the front guards need little to no modifications. The Z'd in the rear of the chassis, can be/is covered by the floor as the bed has been raised relative to the stock location. The rear guards have been rotated froward.

10 years ago I had this truck in mind when I went to a Model A dealer out here. He had a CCpu, and a sports coupe for sale. If the doors on the CCpu were better I'd have purchased it, instead I went with the POS sports coupe that I now have (its a done 5 window body now ;) ) As is sung in that imortal song ... regrets... I've had a few ......

This is probably the best -looking '28-29 Model A pickup I've ever seen. Anybody know how much it is chopped?

Years ago when I was more into a "resto-rod" mind set, I picked up one of these '29 pickup cabs on a frame. While I have been gradually gathering up parts to complete it (found rear fenders just this past week), the project has remained way back on my list because I haven't been able to get too excited about the imagined result of building it. This thread gives me a whole new outlook on my 29 pickup project. Now I'm getting motivated!

i think its a neat little truck, but i dont like the proportions of the cab, if it just werent channeld or at least not channeled as much i think id like it a hell of alot better, but thats just one mans opinion.

Rick lives close by me and I see his Model A truck blasting up the road regularly - as well as a lowered beige '68 Chevy wagon. The thing about this truck is that it was built a long time ago, without regard to the then prevalent fashion - in fact it was distinctly out of fashion and regarded as odd.

He also had a wicked absolutely stock appearing beige Thames/Fordson van (skinny wheels and all) with a V8-60 and Edelbrock heads under the hood - just one really cool piece. I followed him up a steep hill at 65 mph before I knew what was under the hood, and said to myself - that ain't stock for sure - they couldn't do 65 mph downhill with a following wind.:D I am not sure if he still has the Thames, but I'll ask him next time I see him.

its awesome. How do you think that chanelling over the aprons would look on a full fendered Sedan? Ive had this idea in my mind but dont know if it will look to out of proportion.
