I thought I would post some pictures of an engine and a ch***is that we are getting ready to ***emble. I had to share the pictures of the engine because I think it is really neat looking.. We just got all the chrome back and we are getting ready to ***emble the ch***is. I really love getting to this stage of a project, Finally seeing everything come together, after so many long hours. I am going to keep updating with the ***embly pictures, I want to have it together for next weekends L.A. Roadster show. Thanks for looking... Jimmy White Circle City Hot Rods
I am having problems posting the pics.. I am a computer LOSER. I think it said the files are to big. I am going to eat dinner then try again.. Sorry. Jimmy White
Jimmy, You'll have to resize the pictures to a smaller size to get them to up load. Looking forward to seeing them.
The picture of the 33 pickup, is right before paint. Jeff Myers from Premier Paint and Body in Ark City, Kansas came out for two weeks and did the paint and body work. The other pic is my Crazy friend Curtis Murrell's coupe it should run pretty good with the nailhead. I am really having fun with my newly learned computer skills. Jimmy white
Buddy- let me show you how to use that thing next time I'm over! You like my notes? You know I was jokin' just to hear you say "Dammit Jam***!!!"

Yes, take away your camera! I'd post my pictures but they are WAYYYY too large. Really, we'll take a look at what you are doing next time so you can keep a good record of all that work that happens over there.
Thank you very much Man!!! I sometimes wished I lived in Florida. I had an Uncle that lived in Sebring, It was a pretty cool place to visit. Jimmy White
Looking good Mr. White................I have been thinking more and more about visiting Cali.to see what its all about........Littleman
Come on out!!! The coupe with the nailhead is the one I was telling you about that kind of reminds me of yours... My friend Curtis that owns it has know idea what he is getting himself into. Jimmy White
The accent color has kind of a weird name, its called armenian tan, with hair mixed in. Jimmy p.s. its kind of like we are talking to ourselves here..
i worked in orange for a while and the shops are weird there, has the office in between the bays so it forms a U. as for the color....i part armenian and not that tan......and of course it must be back hair mixed in .
cash money is always the doer of good chrome work!!! LOL you know that. that's why i'm building a rod like kids did in the 50's, they didn't have cash for chrome, right?
Thanks everyone for the kind words!!! Sorry the pictures arent that good. Glenn, South Bay Plating in Santa Ana does all of our chrome work. They do a pretty good job and the prices wont kill you. B*** did you see the picture of your California girlfriend, she is waiting for you. Jimmy White
Haha...looks like she's working on her tan! I think they're hiring photographers down at the mall at Glamour Shots if building hot rods doesn't work out for you. hahaha
Jimmy, You can easily improve your photography skills a couple of ways. Move your shooting position so that your light source is behind you. Put yourself between the light and subject without throwing your shadow across it. You are shooting toward your main light source here and your poor little camera is desperately trying to find some way to accommodate the wide range of light between the dark, filthy garage and the bright sparkling outdoors. Because it is automatic exposure it splits the difference resulting in dark interior and burnt out background. You would have to throw some light on the engine if you want to shoot in that direction but it's just simpler to change position. You could use a flash for fill light or drag the thing outside. Nothing better than natural lighting even when doing the un-natural. Chrome is tricky to photograph anyway whether you are using a flash or not. If you want to get more into it try using two sources of light. One to illuminate the subject and the second as fill for shadows or as a side light to help define and separate subject from background. With chrome a third light can be used as a back light or a halo light. The term Halo light defines itself.
So what if your comp skills arent that great, thats not what we're lookin at. Nice work, I enjoy lookin at the cars and trucks you build.
