I'm all about being safe. But when the guy up the road wanted my '49 F6 parts truck (2 ton, 158" WB), I had to laugh when we hauled it up the road 7 miles.

Back in the glory days of high school me and two buddies were running around out in the woods and purchased a model T bucket (body only) for $3.00. The price started at $25.00 but we were persistant. Anyhow we loaded it up in the trunk of my '58 BelAir and since we didn't have any tie down rope the two other guys rode sitting on the back fenders with their legs in the trunk and held on to the body to keep it from falling out.
It was about 35 miles home and when we pulled up in my front yard I seriously thought my dad was going to have a stroke. Ahhh youth.
