    So who's the money man???

$4k spent, $14k sold does not equal a $5k profit.

This thread won't die,so here's another .02 worth. The kid has balls for building and driving this car,and I say more power to him.If he had used 16" rear wheels,a lot of the********* wouldn't have been said, but he chose to do something different. So*****ing what.I know I'm a newcomer to the HAMB,but I'm not new to weird car*****.I'm a little disappointed in some of the posts from the regular guys, seems like there's a little inconsistency going on here.IF he had used different wheels,IF it was chopped a "little" less, channeled a "little" less, then would he have the "Seal of Approval" ??
All this talk of practicality leaves me cold..The safety thing, too. If any of the folks whining about how low it is,how invisible it would be to soccer moms, etc, ride,or have ever ridden motorcycles, then you are a hippocrite.I figure anything I might do to a car would still be safer than riding the old panhead I used to ride.If that didn't scare me off the road, then the kids car wouldn't either. So his carbs stick up to the roof.So the car only comes up to his*****.Like an earlier post or two said,if you want practical, drive a*****ing Camry or a Civic.
His car is just a little more of everything than the cars a lot of us admire. So it's a cartoon car. So*****ing what.
I'm trying to build a Merc that looks like an old Dave Bell cartoon.I won't lose it in a fairground parking lot,and if you ever see it,you won't forget it.So I like what the kid did, despite the wheels.
    Give him a break.When I was his age,I was*****ing up a lot more than I was finishing.

Ok,just to clear things up, when he posted $5000 profit it was up to $9k,then some guy called him and offered him $14k over the phone, and is wiring the dough...Its still on egay until the money comes.......This kid is in the Aces club and he is 18 and still wet behind the ears.He built his first rod in my garage when he was 16,and everything came out of his pocket....I like the car,its a little low for me,but he wanted to build the lowest coupe in existence, and he did.Dont bag on it until you look at it up close and see the engineering he did on this.He is 6'3" and not cramped when he sits in it,shit you can swim in that thing theres so much room.Of course you got the engine in front of the windshield, which is like a semi drivin in front of you. [IMG]You can mock this kid all you want but he has huge talent for his age and face it its kids like him that are keeping rodding alive for the future...Come on guys heres a real young gun on the HAMB,not some wanna be....

    To be 18,
even if he did build a SNOW PLOW,
The wheels kinda remind me of the WAY a PRAYING MANIS stands.....
    on the discovery channel...

    No harm to the KID,,
He could be talking ebonics and****aulting his parents......

Im gonna build the lowest coupe in existance.....

I always wondered how fast my house would go up in flames, so Im gonna light a match...

An old saying, I think I heard it somewhere on this board once: Just because you CAN do something, doesnt mean you SHOULD....or something along those lines...

tons of things are possible, but not all of them are good ideas.....

More power to this kid for building something... Its better than some smart**** disrespectful kid cutting me off in his "hot import".

And I havent seen the car in person, but man I have known a few model A coupes... and I doubt that there is as much room in that thing as you make it out to have....
I can "swim" in my living room, but you couldnt drive it, either.....
Interesting to see, yes. Fun to drive, probly not. A waste of parts......? Perhaps... Just my .02. -J.

  17. I still say it has to be a rolling blind spot, but it is cool that someone his age has built SOMETHING...especially something with some vision. Maybe slightly out of focus vision, but vision just the same! [IMG] It'll be interesting to see what he builds next....

I didn't copy the PPE but saying that I did is a complement because it's my favorite car, if you can remember the post a while back and all you guys said how gay and impracticle that was, I was the first to stand up and say I'd love to drive it down the strip. Anyways, I earned everthing I did. I worked up from nothing and my parents didn't buy me*****. My first car was a ratty 37 pickup and my parents wouldn't even let me have it so I hid the frame and bed behind my fence and worked on it when they left. They found out and my mom wanted to throw it away and slamchop let me build it at his house. I almost had it done but I ran into debt so I had to sell it and pieced together a 29 roadster and drove it through highschool while working on a 53 olds. sold both of those and had enough to move out and opay a little rent at a shop then finally built that last roadster and with that and this I can just about pay my college tuition. I am saving up to build a roadster to keep and am going to toss a t coupe together for now to fund that. But I didn't get***** given to me and worked from*****tier cars to be able to get this far and it's pretty*****in stupid when some**** like germ starts rambling about traditional carp. I mean it's cool and all but you make fun of me for copying the brown neck bandito and ppe when your copying every car ever built in the 50's...

who's dumb idea was it to put an engine behind the driver anyway.it wasnt sample A.....................................Purple people eater..again not sample A

SLAMCHOPS, is going to invent the RAT ROD drivable SEARS/GENERATOR, with the POLICE RIOT SHIELD as the MILLINUM ROADSTER WINDOW..

It will be DRIVEN instead of FLAT TOWED..cause he's to stupid to mount a TOW BAR,,,
This GADGET will be a POWERHOUSE and will be USED.to POWER this OTHER KIDS "SHIT HOUSE" COUPE with the Trunk mounted MOBILE compressor, tire CHANGER,,,,,

Then when the REST of the ROCKABILLYS get FLAT TIRES from running BALD COMMANDERS...and FINALLY make it TO PASO on SUNDAY...

    The SO-SHIT coupe:(tm)
will save the DAY,, then You clowns can JACK up the CAR on STANDS, and Charge the KIDS 50 cents to ride the REAR WHEELED FERRIS WHEEL around in circles...

He MISSED it by NOT making the TIRES taller then the ROOF....
And also if you call that FRONT end GOOD FABRICATION...

Maybe you should STICK to AIR BAGGING 60's FOUR DOORS,,, and BIDDING on your BOYFRIENDS CARS.....

    See you in PASO HOMO

First off I respect the fact that you worked for what you got. You should be proud of that. I am, and I have been working since I was 11.

But, if you think that the PPE and the bandito are copies of "every car built in the 50's"...Then you need to do some research bro.

I have no comment to how stupid you sound. Your all into the scene and trying to stand out by talking with so much drama and thought. I can't wait to see what you look like. I bet your house is dirty and your wearing a dirty wife beater. You prabobly have three dictionarys by your computer and all have big writing in them and about once an hour you think of all your molestations as a schoolboy and try to come on this board to appease you feelings and hate towards mankind. You prabably have a few cats too and a bunch of tattoos and everytime you leave your house you look in the mirror and get a tuff attitude as you walk out the door. I think you should just stop with the literature and start talking about cars without cracking an almanac. Just my 2 cents or maybe I should try doing something that JKUSTOM should look into and save my F'n 2 cents and put it into my car...
