Ok, finish welded last night and took a pic of round 2 last night. The pipes look much nicer going into the collectors now.
Sweet, you did a nice job on those. I think instead of buying a bunch of j and u bends I am going to buy some swap meet headers and cut them up like I have done in the past. Thanks for the inspiration.
Those are not "rednek" headers, I have seen worse from professionals with a Tig welder. Nice job.....just keep it between the lines....
Ok, got my other header done. It's kind of crazy because I had to go over the steering column, but I want to be able to remove it without tearing the whole car apart. This one went so well, I want to redo the first one.
thats how I do a lot of bike pipes, I have a corner of my garage full of takes offs and old halrey pipes and cut and choose what bends I need.
Looks good to me too ! I am going to build a shoebox g***er on a shoestring budget and I have headers from different engines I picked up check at yard sales and such places as well . I am going to do the same thing with mine too . Retro Jim
It's just mocked up high until I bend the Pitman arm, but it does hug the frame rail. The column, box, and rods are from a 66 Bronco.
