Kits and special construction vehicles that do not have an existing title need to by inspected by the state and be issued a Mass vin. number. You can then apply for the title. You will need all your reciepts as well as the serial numbers and a title of origin for all
major components. Ie. motor, tranny and chassis. The vehicle must
pass a safety inspection and possibly an emissions inspection. The
vehicle will become a 2008 special construction. It's a pain in the
ass and all paper work is very important. The paper work and
documentation must follow the car from here on end.
