Morning all, I just realized I had been gone a long time before I started posting again and might as well reintroduce myself. My real name is Rob, live in Wisconsin where we can pretty much enjoy our cars for about half the year if we're lucky and you don't want to get your car all full of **** from the weather. I became a member of the HAMB some time ago when ratrods became popular. I didn't know there was a difference really between them, traditional, hot, street or custom. I believed (and still do to some extent) that someone should just be able to appreciate the vision and work a person puts into their vehicle. The truck was my first build and most would call it a ratrod. I tried very hard to give it some traditional qualities. I had never built anything like it before. I literally laid lines out on my garage floor to build the ch***is from scratch and worked my way up. The roadster is a bunch of parts as you can see in the pic. I started with just the cowl then built the tub. The frame is Model A I dug up from the ground in a ravine. It was at my buddies farm. Took me two days to dig it out. The model T body I found on craigslist and just started working on it. My original vision was 60's hotrod. I lost sight of my vision somewhere recently and it started to go full on ratrod... I dunno what happened... Anyway, I have refocused. It will still be powered by a 1967 inline six that will eventually be hopped up a bit with some porting, a cam and larger carb. (nothing spectacular). Backed up by an auto for ease of driving. I'm leaning towards a bit of G***er inspiration on this one. Always loved G***er's. I will be taking my time and get done what I can as money and time permits. Looking forward to getting to know everyone once again.
