I got an old timer here in NJ who just did a new key for my 33 Ford ign. switch..I had no keys at all, gave him the switch in less than an hr. he made a new key..Also,there were no codes on the lock so he had to make the key fit from scratch..If the lock has a code on it(Ford) they can duplicate a key from original codes..I was not so lucky..Cost me 20.00 for two keys.
Yes,a GOOD locksmith can make you a key....more than likely the ones you went to just blew you off as they didnt want to do it or maybe not even know how but a TRUE locksmith can do it
A locksmith in NJ did a 57 Ford Ign switch for me , said leave it and pick it up next time I was in the area. Cost $10.00 with 2 keys.
I just had one made for a 55 Olds. $13.50 The guy is in his 30's/40's. So you don't have to be old to be able to do it. Just know what your doing.
