I am not a expert on elect but I was going to run some standard relays for horn ,fuel pump etc and I came across this and it looked kinda slick .I am just not sure if this would take the place of individual relays and if it would do the same not robbing elect from my truck .Looks like it would also wire differently then a normal relay .Any info would be appreciated before I order it .Thanks

  2. I installed that exact unit on a Race Car 9 years ago. It's still in place and working just fine. It's just a base unit and the 4 relays operate sepperatly. That funny looking Blue thing with 4 holes in it is where the ground wires go for each or the relays. Very user friendly and compact. Your on the right track using relays and taking the high voltage out of your switches. I do it all the time, I say go for it.

I use the Hella 4 relay module w/ standard 40a relays for fuel pump, water pump and fan. It has a plastic cover that kind of cleans up looks. I'm not sure what you mean "robbing elect"....all relays are individual but you may want to tie the grounds and power together if that simplifies your application. Be sure and fuse as appropriate.

  8. If your looking for options check out Painless on line. If you need more than 4 relays or only 2 and want to do fuses also without buying a wiring kit they have pieces. Here is a shot of my latest job not quite done. Painless has relay bases that lock together. You can add as many as you need. They come with terminals and lock in the base. You supply the proper relay in voltage or common open or closed. They also have those kool little fuse holders in 4 fuse each and you can also lock together as many as you need. I like this system for Race Cars so the pilot can kill every thing if he needs with the flip of 1 switch yet you can turn on and off every unit by itself as needed.
