Folks Of Interest Remastered & Updated - My 2013 Visit - Hot Rod Heaven in Madison, Wisconsin courtesy of Richard Munz

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by trulyvintage, Feb 23, 2013.

  1. Thanks guys ... ;)

I hope Mr. Munz will lean towards
    preserving his collection
for the the Hot Rod World and
    keep what remains together
for future generations to appreciate .... :D

Hopefully a museum is in his future plans

  2. Saw an old friend there. The Tommy Foster 32 and I were both at the first Autorama in Detroit. My friend Tommy wound up living a few blocks from me in Florida before I retired to the Georgia Mts. I last saw his little roadster at the Turkey rod run in Daytona in the nineties when it was in the collection of Kirk White.
The Munz collection is the work of a true hotrodder.
Thanks for the memories and the posting.

  4. Munz once owned the Coleman Coupe that I had the privilege of rebuilding . I knew he owned it at one time from the sign board that came with the car.

Unfortunately, Richard is dispersing his great collection. I am going to be a witness to the sale of his collection during the Mecum auction at Kissimmee on Friday, January 17, 2025

  8. Thank you for sharing this unique opportunity with us. It is amazing that this could be in the control of one person.

  9. Did I transport that for you
from his collection in 2013 ?

    I went through my pictures
and couldn’t find any of me
    loading the 1932 Ford that
I picked up that day …

  10. I am glad you appreciated the thread

Mr. Richard Munz is an example of
what one person can do to preserve
    history for posterity - fortunately
for all of us he chose Hot Rod History

  11. No, I bought it out of Alabama private party.
I just realized my roadster was also once owned by Munz .
