Corncob is that a ford 360?, the distributor location is messing with me. The Chrysler 360 LA series has the distributor in the rear like Chevy, the Mopar 361 and 383s have distributors in the front but on the p***enger side. The Ford FEs distributors are in the location if my memory is correct. This ball is for sure Dodging me.

I didn’t think it was FE but I couldn’t see the intake / head mating surface, which is my way of identifying FEs.
    Is the truck yours?

Thanks, yea I've always liked odd stuff.
Decided I no longer was going to haul cars with my Crew Cab Dully anymore and decided on this cool old truck..
Not many of these stock or otherwise out there, and this one had some power and comfort upgrades (A/C - heat-defrost) that work for me. I'm a big fan of Wing Windows as well.
Smooth roads-smooth ride, bumpy road, bumpy ride that can jar the bones at times but works for me.

I’m surprised we don’t see more AMC engines, from all account they’re very good, capable of good power, and dependable. I’ve never owned an AMC v8 but had a couple sixes that were hell for stout.
Corncob does your engine have any upgrades? Not that it needs any just curios.

    Nothing crazy.
RV Cam, Flat Top Pistons, Intake, Holley 600, Dual Exhaust.
Nice 3:54 rear - 65 MPH - 2,500 rpm so goes down the road fine.
Looks good, sounds good, runs good. Yea......
