Here is a series of links to the Jalopy Journal as it has evolved from 1998 to 2008...have fun! http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://jalopyjournal.com Thanks
I too remember that web site and as a matter of fact the Dec. 06 1998 (first issue) Shag submited my article on "How To Build A Carson Top" I wrote for a car club newsletter. Thanks for the memories!
Man I remember the pie crust slick....I would go on there when I was in class in college.....Wow does that seem like a long time ago...
What I remember is how pissed off I used to get everytime I Googled anything hot rod related. All I would get was links to this bloody annoying HAMB website. Couldn't get past it. If you can't beat 'em.... Thanks for the link. Brought back some memories.
the earliest post you'll find is probably '01-'02 probably not even that old, there were a couple of issues that lost the early stuff at one point....
I remember finding the JJ and HAMB in '00-'01 when I was studying Graphic design at TAFE, I was searching for photos of Dick Flint's roadster and of the GNRS 50th, I tryed to sign up to the HAMB but didn't have an email, I didn't know about free Hotmail account & no home computer.
I remember that carson top write up. In fact, I think I have it in my file cabinet somewhere. 10 years is a long time. Brewsir, C9, Shag and a few others were always on. I wonder how much time at work I have "wasted" in the last ten years on the HAMB
I was too busy back than to be going on the internet .. now im friken surrounded by computers and the addiction of this froum is easy to catch
HAHA, Wow, I found my first HAMB post, from the April 1, 2001 section...Jeez, I sounded like a dork......
