Anybody know where I can get a remote oil filter kit for my y-block? Or better yet some pix of a homemade set up. I'm having some clearence issues with my steering box.

Does your Y-block have a "spin-on" filter conversion or was it factory equipped that way? If so, check out the remote oil filter system put out by L & L Products. They specialize in Ford 4 x 4 stuff but their remote oil filter system is second to none. The oil lines come out 90 degrees to the side of the block not straight out like most lesser systems. Also you may be able to use Ford Racing's 90 degree oil filter adapter to gain the clearence you need. It should fit anything that takes an FL1A filter. Part #M-6880-A50

Should have mentioned that is a '58 block so it takes the spin on filter.I will look into the L&L one.

Mine is a '57 block, I used a standard filter relocation kit from Summit. The hose fittings on it didn't come straight out. My filter was in the way of the steering shaft on the coupe, so I mounted it under the floor.
