Have a remote oil filter canister with no markings on it except for a stamping around the rim of the lid. P-703
It has one fitting at the top side of the canister and one at the centre bottom as well as a drain which is offset. Can anyone identify it? Does anyone know if the oil flows upward from the centre bottom hole or down from the top?
    Thanks.

Is it about the size of a roll of toilet paper? If so, this may sound crazy but.. It doesn't take an oil filter, it actually takes a roll of toilet paper. A buddy of mine had one of these on an old falcon.

sounds like a flathead v8 but really it could be from anything as MANY cars from the 40-60s used that style "fram" canister.
