removable roof insert

I have built a 31 model a coupe and want a removable top that I can take off and store behind the seats. I currently have one made out of marine grade vinyl but dont like the way it fits and the studs that stick up when it is removed. Does anyone have another idea that they can share?

 

have a canvas or interior shop make up a cover that attaches with chrome snaps
