i'm trying to get the old master cylinder out of my ride but its being a pain in the ass. i cant get the clutch or brake pedals out of the pivot rod or whatever it is.

the picture is upside down but anyway. where that big hole is there is a rod that holds both of the pedals, there is no hammer room to bang it out and i tried to strongarm the pedals into sliding out with no problem, anyone have any clues??!?!!?!

Master cylinders are a pain in the ass. I can't get mine out of my 47 D-24 either. Who's brilliant idea was it to put it under the floor board anyway?

well yea putting them under the floor board indside the chassis was genious. i got the rod to turn but i have to figure out how to push it out wile turning it. the grinder seems more and more appealing but i'm holding out on it. haha

I'm assuming that you removed the clips on the end of the shaft that hold the pedals on before you tried to get them off. You'll have to remove the brake and clutch linkage (and that monster spring), too, then everything should slide off.
