Removing corrosion from brass

    I worked in an R&D machine shop, we did a lot of RF waveguide work that was brazed or silver soldered together. Parts were br***, copper, stainless steel, coin silver. Some of it had to be very clean so it performed better. No torch smoke, flux or anything else was allowed. Some items we weren't allowed to gl*** bead.

    The guys in the white room conjured up something called Bright Dip. It was heated in a crock pot and the parts were immersed in the solution, it usually took only minutes. IRC, it was something easy to make up.

    Likely the peroxide/vinegar gig mentioned above, or rather years ago...?
