What's the best why? I picked up a mopar 440 a few days ago, and I'm tearing it down and cleaning things up. It's gonna be a long time before it's in a car, but I'm starting already. I slid off the transmission, and managed to get 2 of the bolts out, but the third isn't moving. And because the converter also the flex plate, I've really got no room Very time I try and wrench it, it strips more. any ideas that won't tear it up any more?

<font color="green"> Do you have enough room to heat it with a propane torch?

Try squirting it down with your favorite penetrant... [IMG]

let that work a bit then heat it, repeat as necessary.

Also, a good, solis, no***** blow on the head will loosen stuck bolts, sometimes.

I doubt you have that kind of room though.
