I have a '50 F-1 that has a ****py Earl Schieb type paint job. I would like to remove just the surface paint and retain the original green finish. Maybe this sounds stupid!
Has anyone here attempted anything similar on their projects? Would soda blasting with low pressure be a possibility?

soda blasting is awesome and very precise however i think that whie you may be able to do it the margin for error is quite large as chancs are you go back to primer/ metal accidentally on at least a few spots, thereby negating all your effort. blast the whole car use the oportunity to identify and fix rust Then repaint in whatever colour you want
