Ride height isn't locked in as yet. Can raise it to aid tyre clearance. Definitely looking at a 4.50 16 up front for big rake
That's about 2" taller than your current front tire (1" per side). So it'll bring the car up an inch and the tire will be 1" closer to the fender.
Had an interstate trip for work this week, and had the opportunity to pick up a front spring the steering arms while i was there. With a little creative packing, they made the trip home on the plane as luggage. With the spring and arms installed, I can progress with mounting the steering box.
Picked up a set of steel fenders this week. Need plenty of work, but hard to come by in this part of the world.
Got some time today to get the shock mounts, engine mounts and steering box plate welded in. Engine can go back in now
What rotors and calipers are those ? What is the rotor diameter ? I kind of like the look of the calipers for a Non HAMB type project . I have a 28 PU that came with a expensive shiny IRS and the frame is way to modifed to just cut it off and start over so its going to stay. ( for now ) At some point I may build up a new frame and traditional suspension and swap the body over some day . Should be a nice truck when your done .
Yes they are. I'll have to add a new flange for the pickup bed, and add a little width at the same time
The brakes are Australian components. Rotors are Ford, 1971 XY falcon, 287mm diameter. Calipers are GM, 1996 VS commodore.
