Reno Air Races? Buehller? Anyone?

Check out our local paper's coverage of the air races and the photo of Merlin's Magic damage (with commentary). I'm not sure if you have to register or not to get on the site.

I'm just waiting for my friends to get up so we can head out there today.

We were able to get down on the road where the videos are being shot on Tuesday but Friday there was a sign saying "No non-residential traffic on Osage St" which is the road that dead ends at the airport fence. I don't know how well that is enforced.

Haven't been keeping up with Reno for many years. Does Steve Hinton still race? A friend used to paint his stuff. Haven't heard anything from him since the Red Baron went down long years ago. Also about ten years ago I was in Midland TX at the Mabee ranch. The Maybee boys are good friends of my brother-in-law, and in one of their hangers there was no less than ten Merlin's and Allison's still in the cosmoline. Don't know if they are still there or not.
