Reno/Carson City/Minden are on my list of places to move when I can finally get out of here. I know Californians are about as welcome as fart in church but at least I'm a car guy. What I think I will miss: offshore breeze in summer, mild winters, shade trees. That's about it. What I'd like: 3 car garage maybe 1/2 acre, less traffic and congestion, more blue collar folks. Am I dreaming? Can it be done for 1/2M?

For a half Million , you will have plenty cash leftover , buy a place off the grid ,well water is best and the city water bills can be outrageous $ . and we have trees . the traffic is light & there are plenty of California Farts here too.

Hit me up when you are in the area. There's lots to see and do. Seems this area is devoid of HAMBers. I'm in Carson city.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I just found it as I was searching for people in the Reno/Sparks area. I bought the '37 ford Fordor that's set as my Avatar last year and have been all over the HAMB learning the in's and out's of this old car since I haven't owned anything older than a '54 Chevy 210 before. I'd really like to connect with some local HAMB'ers and learn as much as anyone is willing to teach me!

    OIF1. Sorry can't help you
Much with your particular project. Oldest I have ever owned is a 57, now currently own a 58.
Cruise that thing down to the a&w this Wednesday night. I'll be there with my old truck with my car club.
