I'm replacing the clutch in my 1953 chevy 210 and before I get in there, are there some common wear items and/or seals I should replace when I have the transmission out?

Also check the flywheel for grooves and burning. It would be a good time for resurfacing.

Take some pictures of the linkage or have a manual for reference. I like to take it all apart, look it all over for cracks and worn parts. I tend to clean things down to the bare metal and paint it prior to ***embly.

Unless the clutch was slipped a lot, I usually get away with reusing the pressure plate and flywheel and simply sanding them with co**** emery paper by hand.
    It's more traditional.

Get a gasket set for the torque ball. Set the preload on it while trans is out. Try to find a needle bearing u-joint while it's apart, and check the play between the bushing in the tube & the yoke.
