Replacing Door Glass on a 51 Fleetline???

I'm trying to put in new glass and I'm hoping I can get some help from someone who has fought this battle.

What is the best way to get the glass out of the side door?

Here's the page from the shop manual. From what I am told, it's just a matter of patience and understanding how it went together. They said that in sex ed class too, come to think of it.
