Alright i need to replace the drivers side window on my 1954 Ford Customline, but i need to know, how do these windows come out? from the top of the door?

i noticed this picture of a 1954 ford victoria. and see that the entire panel is metal, so my guess would be to remove the top panel portion above where the actual door panel is removed and move the window out of the track through the top of the door?

how are the windows held in the track?

anybody else do this on a similar car?

Roll the window all the way down and look at it thru the big hole in the door. You might find two sets of two screws holding the track to the run channel. The run channel is setting on the regulator. Remove the four screws and lift the gl*** out. But if it's a sedan the vent window may need to be removed first. Tri 5 Chevys are the way I described.

You have to remove the complete metal vent window channel to be able to get the window out. HRP
