    As others have pointed out, never use Teflon tape on a fuel or brake system. Loctite make great thread sealants. The smallest piece of Teflon tape in a carb or master cylinder can cause all sorts of trouble. Teflon tape is for plumbing your house! And yes, even though the threads are tapered you still need sealant.

    I agree.
    And that is why the law here insisted on a third brake light.
    Someone following me one day, pointed out that my led 3rd brake light came on earlier than the original stock lights, seemed like 1/2 a second, probably only milliseconds.
    I assume current travels faster through the smaller wire, but not sure.
    Someone here might be able to explain why.

  3. LED does that, it take time to heat up the filament in a incandescent bulb.

    I’m a Permatex #2 guy. And a believer of using the HD. 12 yrs ago the Chinese one quit on my 56 Ford, went to the HD. My 1991 HD still has its original and 60,000 miles out in the open.
