i also think it would **** to have them reproduced then id have to find somthing else to run like the electrolines, then id spend a few years finding a lafrance in the weeds to get a set at a reasonable price then some one would repop them.Think its a bad idea all the way around.
W O W !!!! Those are some sweet lights. Those are some you would put on display. I bidded on em, but my pockets arent that deep.
larry, looks like you didnt show all 4 lights in the pics, beautiful set though. I am a horder so I would find it hard to part with them, but seeing as you have your coupe done now I can understand. I am starting to wonder if I need more than just a nut to hold the pair on my roadster! at those prices I better insure them separate to the car.
...look again...I did show both sets. The pointed lens set is with the box that says 682-C, and the rounded lens set is with the plain brown box... I need to sell some of my stuff to pay for the finishing of the coupe.

I don't understand why some guys have a problem with repopped stuff. When a part is remanufactured it usually makes it affordable for people to buy. Supply and demand is driving the old stuff through the roof - unless you have deep pockets some of these items are out of reach. But, if it is repopped you can afford it. As far as it not being cool after a part is repopped that is BS - here is a short list of items that are repopped: '32 rails, patch panels, WWW tires, axles, grills, bodies, etc. Just because it is repopped it doesn't make it uncool. You can't have your cake and eat it too.
I guess it's just the idea of having something that not everyone else has. I found some Edmunds aluminum air cleaners long before Charlie Price started having them cast, and they were something that was seldom seen. Now, anyone with a credit card can have them. Don't get me wrong, I realize the value of availability--especially with an item like tires, where it's really not a good idea to run old, cracked rubber just because you can't find anything else with the look you want. God knows that if Fenton headers for flatheads and Chevy sixes had never been reproduced, the originals would probably be going for $700-$1000 now. I doubt that the Fentons for early Olds engines will be reproduced, though, and I've got a pair of them, so I'm still hot ****!
