Really nice! Go with grey primer. If you gotta paint it keep it original. Its so nice seeing something original and not all hacked to crap.

Thanks one more time fellas for the response! I figured all along a few folks might like this thing, but this is way better than I expected. I'm headed out tomorrow to start some of the final fab work!

I don't know much about painting, But polished brass has clear on it to keep from tarnishing.Would clear with flattener protect it?
