  4. slamdpup here's a hint - you don't have to hit the Post Reply button in Rolf's post, just go to the bottom of the page and post a quick reply. We then don't have to see all the pics again. If you want to quote someone's words then hit the Post Reply button under their post. Hope this helps.

So explain the seat cover. I get the rest of it but I am intrigued with the seat.

    Rolf,

I could tell by the "hard" part of the build that you are a stickler for details and getting it done RIGHT. Nothing you have done on the car looks half-assed, and the interior is just as good as the rest of your coupe. Don't even bother sending it out for interior, you're gonna be disappointed after seeing what you already did for yourself.

 shill! shill! I smell a shill! this isn't really Rolf, this is that upholstery shop seen on Floyd Cotterpin's show right? Next thing you know, you're going to throw up a "but wait! there's more! You to can have an interior like this for the low low price of $399.99, and if you order in the next two minutes you get FREE door handle esutcheons!"

Surely this can't be your first try, no way, that work is amazing! I'm not even going to BOTHER showing my interior pieces, it looks like yours, except somebody ran them over, threw them in the gutter, rolled them around in the dirt and put them back in.

    AWESOME

  18. Every post on this cars build deserves to be in the tech-o-matic. I haven't seen one yet that didn't blow my mind mind. What an awesome car and awesomely talented builder.

I'm at a loss for words . . . makes me want to cry. Very nice work. I've got a car that's going to need the same treatment . . . unfortunately not quite as cool as your car. Jeez.

Wonder what an interior shop would charge for something similar. I want to finish the interior in my Model A Tudor, but I'm nervous that I'll be less than pleased with my skills (or lack there of).

Thanks guys for positive feedback !

fxcomet: 3 weekends, including some evenings. It's tedious at times.

k-member: I will be there ! We are racing for pinks, right?

just dug: With the skills you have, you can do better than this.

Roothawg: Yeah, you are right, I didn't explain the seat. I did not take any pictures during the seat job. Basically, I just made a pattern from the seat itself. I followed the edges exactly, with no overage, so when you sew the seam with the piping, you loose about 5/8 inch or so, it will be slightly too "small", but that gives you some stretch to avoid wrinkles.

BJR: They do have a couple of screws in the post. They are jammed up against the rear window frame, so no fasteners are needed there.

speednazi: Love and kisses to you too...

Somebody asked for the source of the pleated vinyl. I got this from Gary's Upholstery:
    http://www.garysupholstery.com/marine-vinyl.html
Please note: On the sample picture on his web site, it looks like it does not have a heat seal seam, but it does.

Most upholstery supply houses can get it for you as well.

Thats BadAss........ As my 11 yr old daughter just finished her first sewing class I told her that I look forward to getting her an apholstery machine some day.... maybe sooner than later, I don't think her Singer feather weight can handle it.

    thanks for the great Tech.

Is that a comercial or an old home sewing machine?
