Well, life is crazy at times. I have been ****ed in to some OT cars and I am building a customer car so it's been a while since I had some HAMB material but I finally had a chance to work on the '32 Fjord.

Having a highboy in WA state is pretty useless so fenders will make this a daily driver. Brookville supplied the fenders and foot boards. I have seen some threads complaining about fit but I am pleased. it took some tweaking but overall they fit well. Remember, I am also putting new parts on a 70 year old car.

After all the fenders had been test fitted I shot the inside of the fenders with etching primer and then applied a rubberized undercoating. This prevents “tneds” That would be “dent” backwards as the rock would leave the tire and make an “outie” Get it?

I made these simple upper shock mounts that clears the fender.

Then it was time to squirt some paint on the frame rails as well. The rear quarter panel was not painted when I originally painted the cowl and doors to remove the ugly lettering so this was a good opportunity to make sure everything match.
Puh, that was a long sentence!

Back in the “showroom” for ***embly. The axle had adapters to fit the five on 5.5 old Ford wheel and that made the axle too wide for the fenders. The Volvo wheel is just temporary until I get new rear rims. I ordered new 16′s with 5 on 4.5 bolt pattern in order to solve the axle width. This way I can eliminate the adapter and save an inch. Hopefully it will be enough as I really don’t want to tear down the rear axle this year.

Yup, the whole damn shop is red. My interior decorator is going to be sooo pissed!

So how did it come out? Pretty damn good I think, It certainly changed the look and feel of the car.

These are original frame horn covers and the fit better than the repop. The repop covers were from Vintique but I sent them back. I understand Brookville is going to make their own now.

The not so faux Olds engine is nicely framed between the hood and fenders.

I think it looks good with the stock head light bar as opposed to a repop lowered street rod thing. Also, this is a model B bar with no hole.
I plan to change the top insert to black and also the dash and steering wheel should be black. A chrome windshield frame would look good too.

For right now I just plan to drive the **** out of it. Wroom-Wroom!!

The coupe looks great! You've always had excellent taste in hot rods and this one is no exception.. There isn't a thing on this car that I'd change.

Amazing work as always! I practically learned how to build my car from your A coupe build thread, so it's good to see you back in action! Do you still have the A? Mark

Man, that red oxide is beautiful against the blackwalls and black wheels. Love the '40 DeLuxe caps. Great choices, as usual!

Well now I know what my 32-5 window would have looked like if I had gone ahead with my plan for a red oxide paint job. Looks great Rolf but your stuff always does no matter what it is. I changed my plans and went with a light blue metallic and 50% flattener in the clear. I like it but it is not real user friendly.

Very nice, indeed! The black wheels really set it off.

Looks fantastic! Of course I'm partial to fendered 5 windows! Could you tell us a little more about tweaking the Brookville parts. Also, is that a Brookville splash apron? How well did that fit? Anyways.. I hope you get some free time to enjoy your coupe.
