We moved, so I have to work in this old garage for now, and it's not really set up for this, but I will get by. Some people have it a lot worse than this, so I will not complain. Plans are to build a nice shop on this new property.

Well, the frame is ready for a body, so let's get to work.

Since I don't have any friends, I have to to this solo!

    Lift the rear...

Step Two: Make the cowl defy gravity...

    Push frame in to place...

    Push more...

    Tada ! ****, I think I got myself a hot rod !

(Damn garage lights make the car look orange ! )

Bringing it out in day light is a better way to get a good look, and that I did. I probably spend 1/2 hour just walking around it,
looking at different angles. That's how sick I am !

The body was hung up on the front bolts in this picture, it settled another quarter inch closing the gap under the door.

    Nice ***, eh??
The plate is actually an un-restored original.

With the stealth dump tubes painted black, they don't show that much.

I have lugged those red sparkplug wires with me for 25 years, since I came from Sweden. They are for midsixties Volvos, and they will finally be put to work.

Still a long way to go: Plumbing for fuel, electrical, steering, gauges, grille shell etc, but very very motivating !!

Great color on that A!!! I really wish I was that far along! I love the rolling stock, if you don't mind me asking, what are the wheels, and what size tires?

  17. Details, you got details man. I dig the recess in the firewall, the best I have seen done on an A!

I can see your point. You've made a great job of that car considering your relatively primitive and cramped working conditions :) :)

I was lucky and scored this garage when we bought the house. I plan to use half as a spray booth, fit a machine shop in one corner and I'll probably just squander the rest of the space :) :

  21. Oh man! That is the sweetest little hot rod I have seen since I dont know when! Every single thing about it is absolutely perfect. I have just realised what my next project is gonna be when the Plymouth gets done...... I hope you dont mind an exact clone being built on the other side of the world! :)
