Sorry for the repost - thought this might see more traffic. As much of a bummer as it is, someone broke into a really good friends truck and made off with his laptop & his Dad's GPS unit. Whoever did it knew how to break in quick and clean. The laptop had every pic ever taken of his 2 daughters on it and now it is gone. Hopefully not forever. Sucks to think that someone would stoop so low at a show, but you can't be surprised at anything anymore. Anyone else have their vehicle broken into at the Expo center? Anyone hear of anyone "finding" a laptop or GPS unit at Roundup? If so, let me know. There is a reward being offered for the return. Hell, Jay would be happy just getting his photos of his daughters back. Any info is appreciated. __________________
This is really bad news! Sorry about the loss. Everyone please, ... remember to always back up pictures onto multiple CD rom. The hard drive crashing, can steal the pictures also. Stash the copies of CD roms in different areas, such as relatives homes, bank safety deposit boxes, etc. People have a large collection of cool photos, but now days they are on a media that can just cease to exist instantly!
Thats sucks. Lowlifes come in all forms. I'll keep a watch on Craiglist. Hope they get their stuff back atleast. Jason, call me.
Thief's are out in droves now and its not going to get any better any time soon. Every one needs to take precaution when leaving any thing in your car that's visible. With the economy what it is has created a huge increase in car thief and race rigs being stolen. Recently at a race track a 4 wheeler was stolen when they went to the line. Tools, NOS bottles and just about any thing that's not tied down or locked up is a target
