Looking at a 50 GMC 1/2 ton with a trashed bed, nothing in the local old junkyard worth dragging out and has been 30 years since I bought one for my 37 Chevy so are there anyone out there that still makes new truck beds. Can not remember who I got the one for my 37 from.

Most Chevy/GMC truck places like LMC and Cl***ic Parts sell all the pieces. Some might have a complete bed kit, but all that stuff is easy to get.

One option is your local Craigslist, FB market place and search for box trailers.

Getting lazy in my old age and not wanting to spend a bunch of time trying to bring that bed back to life if I get that truck.

  5. Mar-K in Ok. City. Mack Hills in Missouri. They both have very good products. Used stuff at this age is usually beat up. The thing I worry about with new is freight damage. :)

  6. Moberly, MO is a long drive from Dayton, Ohio, but Mack's is worth investigating. As I understand it, they are generally as faithful to stock beds as Rootlieb is to running boards, hoods and splash aprons.

  7. Picked one up about 5 years ago from LMC at their warehouse. The one on the top of the pile had a lot of damage, so we asked for one down the pile. Fit it in a minivan with a driver and 3 p***engers. That was a great roadtrip.

I used Mack's replacement bed for my '37, its held up well for 23 years now. I was able to pick it, Moberly is not that far from KC. It matched the original, just not beat up !
