Post up pictures of your contraptions you've used for rescuing cars in hard to get areas. Over hillsides, in swamps, lakes, etc. And yes, I know about the hippo. That was a really good one. I'm hoping to get permission to save a 37 Chevy with no frame that is down an embankment and it got me to wondering what other people have used to rescue cars.
Not outside and no pics. A mint roadster body hanging from the ceiling in the back of a sea container full of junk. To much heavy work to empty the container. With a bucket full of ratchet straps and a few of his mates it eventually saw the light of day. 8 straps were used . Body was pushed back about 12 inches into the stress point of the straps and then the end straps repositioned another 12 inches forward. Then the middle straps and so-on and so-on. Took about a hour climbing over the junk slowly swinging the body to the container doors.
I nabbed this 41 Ford shell and frame from an old timer in Detroit. He has(had?) about three warehouses full of very HAMB-friendly rides and parts.
Kinda eyeballing the front bumper. I always kinda liked the look of a 54 bumper in front of a 53 grill. And even if I didn't do that the center piece of a 54 bumper is the same as 53 so I could get away from my painted center bumper section lol
