resizing pictures

Just bought a new digital camera and I can't figure out how to shrink the pics to add to a thread. I have some good shots of Brush's p/u I'd like to post. Any help out there?
I've followed Kodak's instructions but still can't get the pics small enough.

OPen your pic with this program

click resize/resample (I host my own pics so usually use the 640 X 480 option. You may need to go smaller to fit the HAMB.)

Save the pic as a JPEG (.jpg)

That should get you there.

<font color="blue">Help for those using Irfanview to change to JPG and resize pics to fit on the HAMB.

I usually resize to 640 x 480 and when you open up save as hit the options*****on on the save as menu and select 80% on the slider. That'll usually make the file 70k or smaller to fit in a HAMB mesage limit while not turning it into a thumbnail. </font>
