I have a pair of Steel Mopar police wheels. They are 15x7, and they are just a little to wide for my 50 chrysler. I really like the looks of them, but i would like them to be 15x5.5. Is this possible/safe/affordable to split them and weld back, or should i go another route? Does anybody know who can perform this? Any help would be great.

Easier to cut out the centers and weld narrower rim hoops on them.

  3. Chariot wheel in Fontana, CA has done some custom wheel work for me in the past. I also saw somewhere that someone was reproducing Mopar Cop wheels, so someone is obviously reproducing the centers. Great looking wheels. I have them on my '56 Fury.

The Wheel Works in NJ has been spliting and resizing wheels for at least 25 years with great success.
