Ryan please just leave this post up long enough so that the below guys can get a laugh or an explanation (whichever applies), & then delete them both.

I feel just a *little* better now after cranking up Audioslave (& now Firjid Pink) & working on my fiberglass-bodied mid-engine sports car for a little while..

If you're gonna sand it and then clear it again, why kill yourself with 1000 grit? Hit it with 600 and you're half-way good with a gun, that sucker should end up looking like it was dipped.
***35+ years with the gun. Shooting in a shop with no doors makes that impossible. I'm afraid the clear on it now will show 600 scratches (it would be just my luck). The paint guys said sand it with 1000 (but they're FULL of good advice, huh?).

It's not the people (I don't give a rat's ass what the jerks say), it's wasting my time posting only to find out the thread has beed deleted (in the last case WHILE I was typing the reply). Understand too, I have no beef with the way the board is run - I'm just tired of wasting my time. I've tried to help others here. I really don't need help myself as I can't think of a single question that would come up building a rod that I couldn't answer myself (for my own rod, that is - I know nothing about flatheads & such). So I'm going to quit & then I won't have to worry about wasting my time posting (or if I'm missing an instant message or whatever). I have 7 projects (of my own) in the works & I'll get them done a lot quicker if I'm not wasting time & helping others on the web all the time. Guess I'm getting to be quite an ass in my old age. ;^D

The wasted time is when I try to help & the thread is deleted!
Most of the projects came BEFORE THE FUCKING THEIVES STOLE EVEYTHING I HAD & I HAD TO SELL THE HOME ON THE PROPERTY I GREW UP ON & BUILD THIS PLACE. I ran out of money before I got doors up. SO MANY FOLKS HERE ARE SOOOOOO FUCKIN' QUICK TO JUDGE!!!! I would have thought more from you, though, HRLC...
