  1. A friend sent this my way this morning. I did a quick search so forgive me if someone has already posted?

That is amazing. I got a big chuckle about 13 1/2 minutes into the film when the Carrillo roadster had its time in the spot light. It was the number 17 car. I have seen a couple of videos on the 1951 event but never anything this nice.
I have to admit I was not a big Bonneville fan growing up. After getting to help with the restoration of the Carrillo car, history of Bonneville has taken on a life of it's own.
    Thanks for posting this !!!!

Holy hell. I’d seen this film years back, stripped bare in black and white with no sound. I had no idea it existed in full color with Wally’s voice rolling over the top. Hearing him again - young, sharp, still just a kid... hit me sideways.

Now I’m left wondering... was this one colorized later, or was that silent black-and-white version I saw the raw original just with a lost audio track?

Either way, it’s gold. Absolute dynamite.

Looking at the reds, pinks and oranges, it’s clear to me that it’s either colorized or over restored. My money is on colorization. I’m no friend of colorization (I don’t believe that it has any place in historical discussion), but I have to admit that this, if it is colorized, is one of the best that I’ve seen.
