Hello ya'll. My name is Tom and I'm new to the H.A.M.B. I'm a retired NC State Trooper that has been a hot rodder longer than I was a State Trooper. After 20 years, I had enough and decided to devote all my engeries to my hot rod, a 1951 Willys Pick Up. I've been working on it for about 5 years now and I guess like all hot rods, they're never done. Pretty traditional drive train, Chevy 350, 700R4 Trans, Chevy 3.73 rear, etc. I built it for reliability on all the rod runs I plan on going on. Attached is a picture of it. Look forward to chattin' with ya'll.

  2. Welcome Tom...Are you this trooper?

Two men were driving through North Carolina when they got pulled over by a State Trooper.
The cop walked up and tapped on the window with his nightstick.
The driver rolled down the window and WHACK, the cop smacked him in the head with his nightstick.
"What the hell was that for?" the driver asked.
"You're in North Carolina, son," the trooper answered.
"When we pull you over in North Carolina, you better have your license ready by the time we get to your car."
"I'm sorry, officer," the driver said, "I'm not from around here."
The trooper runs a check on the guy's license, he's clean and gives the guy his license back.
The trooper then walks around to the p***enger side and taps on the window.
The p***enger rolls down the window and "WHACK", the trooper smacks him on the head with the nightstick.
"What"d you do that for?" the p***enger demands.
"Just making your wish come true," replied the Trooper.
"Making WHAT wish come true?" the p***enger asked.
"Because I know your type," the trooper says, "two miles down the road you're gonna turn to your buddy and say, "I wish that ***hole would've tried that **** with me!"

  6. Welcome to your new addiction Tom. There are a few of us coppers here, we take some **** every now and then (well deserved of course ;) ) but that comes with the territory. You'll find more info here in short time than anywhere else. Congrats on the retirement...I've got 6-11 to go!

Welcome from a former NC resident (and native)!

That color looks good on that truck. 700R4 and 3.73's are a great combination! (for people who like automatics, that is!)

Welcome from Milwaukee. We don't have ticket quotas here. We get to write as many as we want! :)
