That’s because what you usually see called “patina” is ****. It’s decades upon decades of neglect and abuse and guys call it “patina.” To me, this car has ACTUAL patina. My Dad’s purchased-new black ‘55 Chevy was so well cared for all the decades he had it that he eventually polished through to the factory red oxide primer a little here and there. I’d TOTALLY restore paint on an old car if it were restorable like this car. Looks SO DAMN GOOD! I’d be very proud to drive around with this paint. Ok, stepping off my soapbox now, ha ha.
