So- I have a reverse eye Posies super slide rear spring going into my project.... Came with 9 leafs, and for mock up, I pulled 3,= this is the mock up stage, and a test fire. Read that this is a reversed eye spring. I have access to a spring spreader, which is not going to work out here.......because it's for a normal spring.... So- I'm a ways away from my shackle mount- say an inch or two. There is zero weight to hold things together...... I can ratchet the frame to the rear to try to hold things close, then use the jack... Been through a bunch of scenarios already...... I don't want to re-invent the wheel here! Besides pulling the spring pack completely apart, and starting from the main leaf, any options to learn me some? It will all get shiny once it get's torn down for final ***embly.Just trying to save me some time is all....... If I have to start building the pack one by one, that's alright. Just looking for an easier solution.Thanks.
I just take the spring apart. It's quick, easy, and safer. A good c clamp is all you need. Plus, while it's apart, you can paint the individual leaves.
