Nearly finished the reverse lockout for the home made dirt track levers on my Modified. Will finish today and post pictures of the spring loaded catch. Handle is from a Viscount and the grips on the lever are from my S&W Combat Masterpiece. Sent from my moto g(6) play using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Nice looking work. I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of it. Is this for an automatic or manual transmission? Here are a few pictures of the lockout I built for the Hurst Auto-stick shifter in Dads Dodge gasser. I will finish the lever when I get the car back from chassis shop purgatory.
It's for a three speed BW T85. I had a Mr Gasket shifter on it that was very hit and miss. A brand new quality Hurst shifter would cost £500+ over here in the UK and I will only be using 2nd and 3rd most of the time so I made my own twin levers using laser cut parts, thick wall aluminium tube and rose joints. I wanted to lock out reverse so that I don't knock the lever accidentally and knacker the gearbox. Sent from my moto g(6) play using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Reverse lockout now done. Just need to put some rivnuts in the floor to locate it and prepare it for paint. Sent from my moto g(6) play using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
I wasn't really aiming for that but I used bits I had (mostly aircraft stuff) and it just turned out that way. I didn't want to buy anything. The bit that gives it the steampunk flavour is the Jackson Patent Button Spanner - pre WW1 I think. Sent from my moto g(6) play using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
