Reward for return of Rocky's model A.....pic

An A coupe got stollen down here in Dallas about 2 months ago. It was on a trailer, and in the morning, the whole thing was gone.

The coupe was pretty rough, but very good running condition as the guy put about 300-500 miles on it every month.

Seems like those A coupes are getting to be a pretty hot item for the thieves.

I'm sorry to hear that your truck got stollen. I remember when you posted that you were the new owner of it. I'll keep my eyes and ears open as well!

I would hate to think this thing might be in a cargo hold headed for another country... could you imagine if one of our hamber friends overseas found it???

I cut and pasted a decent want ad using the picture provided above and the information on the truck but I can't post it here for some reason. I sent it to your email address Rocky.

Perhaps those of us with shows coming up could make our own flyer and pass them out. That is if no one here makes one that can be downloaded and printed first.

Hey Rocky....is there any way you can get a copy of the flyer that has already been made? I would guess it would need contact info...serial numbers...picture...? If we could all get a copy and forward it to everyone in our email...car guys...think of how far we could spread the word...this truck is bound to turn up somewhere, if it's not in pieces. If it is found in pieces, or out of the country, I think the reward money should go to getting it back together or getting it back where it belongs...just my opinion...

I can post a copy of the poster after I get home from work. It has the pertinent info on it but not the vin for obvious reasons and has this same photo I've already posted...to be continued........................

Rocky, I'm in the Wamic area on a regular basis send me a copy of the poster and we'll make sure it gets passed around, Modify it to say stolen from an" Oregon Vet" and we can put in into vet sites, specially the motorcycle vet groups, those guys cover a lot of ground and hit lots of out of the way runs. Someone knows where its at we just need to let them know its not supposed to be there.

Rocky, So sorry to hear about your truck getting stolen. That's like on the pinacal of the don't f--k with me's, in my book earning a severe ass kicking if caught. Satinblack58 and i are going down to Pomona to sell again next weekend, so you better believe were going to be looking through the used car section for ya'. Sometimes thats what happens they get stolen up the coast and brought down here for a quick profitable unloading. Sorry again. "Hip"

Maybe you'll get lucky and they will mess up and get caughjt. was it registered I hope?if so they may be sill enough to try and re title it and not know about the numbers on frame being the Id that counts....I hope they get whats coming to em!

 

Rocky get the flyer to us so we can print it off. We are a long ways from you but you never know. There is a large rod run coming up my area June 7 and if you can get the flyer on here will pass copies out. Freakin theives suck!!

Hey Rocky, sorry about the truck. I have been watching a's get stolin and heard a few stories that may help. The Japanese hot rod market is very large and theres alot of money that goes with it. The problem is there are no parts, and the cars they like are normally not for sale. Have you noticed how well the hot rods are starting to look, like they are now able to build them like they like, rather than buying them here and shipping them back. I have herd from more than one sorce on what happens...

Recruit a couple gang banger type, pay them well, lets say 1500.00, to get them a car/truck. The car is put in a hauler and till they get some paper work good enough to ship it, it waits to go to Long Beach (typicle). You may find the truck in this dismay. I am in no way pointing the finger or being racist, just sharing some info..............


If you could find a way to see whats going from the dock's(new inquires on registration of a model a from the cailfornia dmv) that may help. I don't know. Good luck, Jim

You might want to put mention of the reward on the flyer, just to catch non-HAMBers eyes also. Also, is there anything going on in Omaha this weekend ie. cruise nights, shows, or just a cruise. The '53 isn't done yet, but I might be able to borrow one of pop's cars for the weekend. Just wondering if there is anything worth seeing this weekend, besides the required trip to the Old Market and Spaghetti Works.

Seriously Rocky- call International title in Las Vegas and ask for JOE- tell him to kep your ser number and compare it to incoming model A truck title apps- you would be suprised how brazen[ stupid] theives are rather than remove and phony up the frame number they may try to retitle with existing number from an outa state place like that- worth a try- Kenny

I seriously doubt I will see it here in Monterey, Tn.....But I looked for it today while I was out. I will ask about parts at my local crack smoker junk yard and see what I can turn up. Doubt they would have it tho....But you can rest assured that lots of people all over America are looking for this thing!

Be sure to blanket the local area where it went missing, especially the 'no questions asked' part. I'm kind of thinking it was a local, because it was stolen from a closed garage not too long after your father passed away...it had to be somebody who knew about both.

Good luck on it. It'd be a shame to lose something with that much sentimental value to vermin.
